Members of the Leaders Forum met at Eastwood Park for a Forum on leadership facilitated by Stewart Barnes, MD of leadership development company  - Quolux.  Stewart's reputation around the region for using his pointy stick to challenge thinking was in evidence!

Attendees were reminded that change is difficult and  that one of the primary roles of the leader was to religiously follow through! Everyone joined in the activities that helped to bring home some learning and there was lots of laughter. Thank you to everyone for taking part in such good spirits!   Stewart encouraged the group to reflect on their learning and look at the things they might want to do differently back in the workplace.

He challenged the group to email him with their top 3 take away actions.  We have been told by Stewart that quite a few of you have emailed him so that he can religiously follow through!

The next LEAD programme starts in April and if anyone would like to speak to Stewart please let us know.  Also Stewart's recently published book is out  and C2S members can get a discount please let us kwno if you would like to get the book.  It's a practical guide to leadership in action and take you on a journey with 3 business owners.

Stewart spoke about Commander Mike Abrashoff, who took control of the USS Benfold one of the worst performing ships in the US Navy and his story on how he focused on the things he could influence to change the performance for the ship.   Mike wrote a book called It's Your Ship which is worth a look at or listen to the Youtube overview from Mike below.
