This week C2S visited one of the regions great family businesses - Westons Cider. A 4th Generation family business started in 1880, MD Helen Thomas great great Granddaughter of Henry Weston shared her story of how she started off doing admin in the business and now runs this multi million pound business that has grown ten fold throughout her 20 Years as MD.
Helen talked about having a plan and sticking to it, they work to a 3 year plan and keep revisiting that on an ongoing basis, the importance of looking after your people on the way up and also when they are on the way out of their career path. She is very hands on and you can really feel their family values throughout the whole organisation. They truly believe in investing in their people and developing them. Helen talks about their journey and the importance of looking after and developing your team,
