We are a dynamic organisation, and are now seeking two outstanding trustees to join our experienced Board. Our Chair, Joanna Stringer, has been in post since the launch of the new Trust in October 2014. Prior to this, Joanna chaired the Shadow Board which was involved in the set up phase of the Trust for over 12 months.
The Trust is a business that trades for the benefit of the public, as a charity, our Memorandum of Association states that our activity and venue development will be undertaken solely for the benefit of the public.
The Trust has an important role to play in creating compelling content and programmes, undertaking development of our venues, creating social impact through learning, community engagement and health and wellbeing and ensuring that a sustainable and resilient business model underpins all of our activity. Ultimately, the Trust contributes significantly to placing Cheltenham clearly on the cultural and sporting map in the UK.
In order to establish a full complement of relevant skills, the Trust is seeking individuals who have skills, experience and knowledge in any of the following areas:
- Finance Experience of significant leadership roles working in finance (Priority)
- Large scale project management Leadership in significant capital developments (Priority)
- Fundraising Experience of major capital campaigns
- Digital Creative industries and digital marketing
- Legal Experienced legal advocate
Excellent communication skills and experience of good governance are essential criteria to enable the Trust to further develop. Trustees are volunteers, nominated Directors of the Trust and responsible for agreeing the strategic direction of the organisation.
