A great visit at Laithwaite's took place on Thursday evening. We heard about the ethos of the company: 'Everything we do is designed to make ordering your wine as pleasurable and easy as possible' and how this drives customer service and how communicating quickly round the business is key to their success.
Over 3 million bottles are dispatched from the site every year and they have over 400 members of staff on site. They take 1 million in bound calls a year; receive 130,000 emails and they discussed how live chat is growing. A walk round the distribution centre brought home to everyone the scale of the business. Delegates then had the pleasure of hearing from Tom and tasting some of their fantastic award winning wines.
