Bamboo Technology gains ISO certifications for information security and quality management

Managed ICT provider awarded ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 27001:2013 certifications
Bamboo also retains Investors in People certification for 12 years in a row
22 New certifications validate Bamboos 18-month transformation and growth strategy

Bamboo Technology Group Ltd (Bamboo), the leading provider of managed ICT services, has gained two major ISO certifications: ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 27001:2013. It has also successfully retained its Investors in People certification for the 12th year in a row following its latest assessment, as the company continues to invest in its people, processes and service offering.

To position the company for long-term and sustainable growth, Bamboo has embarked on an ambitious transformation and growth strategy during the last 18-24 months. This has involved a number of significant developments within the business, including a major review and streamlining of all internal and customer-facing processes, the launch of brand new service offerings like Wholesale M2M data, significant investment in the development and launch of new and enhanced tools, including new data monitoring and auto-barring, and establishing major new supplier relationships such as its recent Service Provider agreement with Vodafone UK. Gaining two ISO certifications and retaining its long-standing Investors in People accreditation is validation of the company%u2019s transformation during this time and ongoing focus on delivering the best quality services in the industry.

ISO certifications involve a rigorous evaluation process conducted by independent auditors. Each ISO certification required Bamboo to submit to numerous rounds of auditing of its processes, documentation and people to ensure best practice is followed at all times.
We are very proud to add these two major ISO certifications to our business accreditations. We have spent the last 18-24 months further investing in our people, processes and systems as part of our ambitious transformation and growth strategy and ongoing commitment to quality. It is therefore really exciting for us, and reassuring for our customers and partners, to have our systems certified as meeting strict ISO standards, comments Lorrin White, MD, Bamboo. Bamboos staff have worked tremendously hard to drive the business forward to achieve our ISO status, so it is only fitting that this coincided with the renewal of our Investors in People accreditation for the 12th year in a row. Nothing is more important for the execution of our long-term growth strategy than the happiness and fulfilment of our staff. Maintaining our Investors in People certification proves our continued commitment to building a business that benefits our staff as much as our customers and partners.

About the certifications
ISO 9001:2015 is the latest revision of the International Standard for quality management systems (QMS). In gaining this certification, Bamboo has proven best-practice to %u2018consistently provide products and services that meet the needs of their customers and other relevant stakeholders%u2019.
ISO/IEC 27001:2013 (ISO 27001) is the international standard for information security. It describes best practice for an information security management system (ISMS). Becoming certified to ISO 27001 standards demonstrates that Bamboo is following international best practices for information security. With cyber security often listed as one of the top concerns for organisations today, ISO 27001 status will reassure Bamboos customers and partners of its ability to protect their data.
Bamboo was first recognised with the Investors in People Standard in 2004. The Standard is underpinned by a rigorous assessment methodology which reflects the very latest workplace trends, essential skills and effective structures required to outperform in any industry. Certificate holders are reassessed every three years to confirm their ongoing commitment to upholding the Standard. Bamboo was first awarded the certification in 2004, and subsequently renewed in 2007, 2010, 2013 and most recently 2016. By retaining this standard for over 12 years Bamboo is reaffirming its long-standing commitment to being one of the best places to work and grow in the industry.
