2017 looks like it's going to be a busy year for Employment Law, so you're not going to want to miss our upcoming Employment Law Update Breakfast Meetings. Our popular meetings provide you with all the latest information and up and coming news in Employment Law, HR and Health & Safety that you need as an employer.
This year will see the introduction of the Apprenticeship Levy and Gender Pay Gap Reporting for bigger companies. But there are also changes scheduled for the National Living Wage, Salary Sacrifice Schemes and rules for employing foreign workers that have the potential to affect all employers.
In case law, there are a number of high profile cases that we can expect decisions on this year.
Some could have very significant influence on future Employment Law including:
Employment Status - The Uber taxi driver case
Employment Tribunal Fees - The Unison challenge to the Lord Chancellor
Holiday Pay - The Lock vs British Gas case
Equal Pay - Asda face a mass equal pay claim
2Religious Discrimination - Will determine between two opposing European Court of Justice rulings
Dates and venues for the Employment Law Updates are as follows:
23rd February: Worcester Warriors Rugby Club WR3 8ZE
22nd March: Brickhampton Court Golf Complex, Churchdown, Gloucester GL2 9QF
The meetings open for registration and breakfast at 8.00am with presentations commencing at 8.30am. We'll be all wrapped up by 9.30 but if you have any questions or queries we'll stay around for a little longer to answer them.
As usual there is no charge to attend the meetings. Our Employment Law Updates are another of our added value services. Your hearty breakfast is on us too!
